By train:
The University of Northampton's Avenue Campus is one hour by train from London Euston or from Birmingham New Street. Buses to the University are available from Northampton railway station or from Greyfriars bus station in the town centre which is a 10 minutes walk from the railway station.
By bus or coach:
Service 19 and service 21 run to both Avenue Campus and Park Campus from Greyfriars bus station (bay C) four times per hour during the daytime, then hourly in the evening (service 19E). Staff and students can use services 19, 19E and 21 free of charge between campuses by showing their ID card (Monday to Friday).
Service 19 also runs from the train station (nearside of main road) twice per hour during the daytime, then hourly in the evening (service 19E).
By road:
From the North:
Leave the M1 at junction 16.
Continue straight onto A45/Weedon Road. Go through three roundabouts.
At the roundabout, take the second exit onto A4500/Weedon Road. Continue to follow A4500.
Turn left at A4500/Spencer Bridge Rd. Continue to follow A4500.
Turn left at A508/Barrack Road.
Turn right at Barrack Road.
Continue onto St George's Avenue. Avenue campus is on the left.
Turn into Avenue Campus at the Staff entrance sign and follow the road down.
Follow the road down and round to the right (turn is just before the barrier) for the visitor parking area.
From the South:
Leave the M1 at junction 15 and follow the signs for A45 Northampton.
Merge onto A508 (signs for Northampton/Wellingborough/A45).
Continue onto A45 (signs for Northampton/A45/Kettering/A43).
Take the exit to Queen Eleanor Interchange. Take the second exit onto A508/London Road. Continue to follow A508.
Continue onto A5123/St Peter's Way.
At the roundabout, take the third exit onto A508/Horseshoe Street. Continue to follow A508.
Turn right at Barrack Road. Continue onto St George's Avenue. Avenue campus will be on the left.
Turn into the Avenue Campus Staff entrance and follow the road down.
At the end of the road just before the barrier turn right for the visitor parking area.
From the East:
From A1139 exit at junction 5.
At the roundabout, take the fifth exit onto the A1139 ramp. Merge onto A1139.
At the roundabout, take the second exit onto A605 heading to Northampton /Oundle. Go through six roundabouts.
At the roundabout, take the third exit onto the A14 exit to Kettering.
Merge onto A14. At junction 8, take the A43 exit to Kettering (W)/Northampton/M1 (S).
At the roundabout, take the first exit onto A43. Go through three roundabouts.
At A5076, take the fourth exit onto A5123/Booth Rise. Continue to follow A5123. Go through two roundabouts.
Turn right at A5095/Kingsley Road.
Slight left at St George's Avenue. Avenue campus will be on the right.
Turn into the entrance labeled 'Avenue Campus Staff entrance' and follow the road down.
At the end of the road just before the barrier turn right for the visitor parking area.
